Lake Washington Rowing Club is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an master's rowing coach to assist our dynamic, competitive mixed masters-level team! Our team participates in a variety of sweep and sculling events across different age categories, and we are dedicated to preserving the vibrant diversity that is crucial to our club's spirit.Â
We encourage coaches to row with us if they want to as well. The season is "modularized," so coaches can choose time to dedicate to rowing, and some to row recreationally or to join us in races!

Job Duties Â
Pilot a coaching launch and assist with running team practicesÂ
Work with head coach and team captains to meet team goalsÂ
Prepare boats for competition and provide race day coordinationÂ
Â
ScheduleÂ
Practices are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00-7:00am. from mid-February through mid-November, with breaks after regattas. There may be other coaching opportunities available after our primary need is filled.

QualificationsÂ
Required:Â
Strong interpersonal and communications skillsÂ
Strong knowledge of boating safetyÂ
Knowledge of rowing mechanics, fundamentals, and techniquesÂ
USRA Coaching Level 1 certification & requirements (must obtain within 1 month of hire), which include:
CPR/First Aid CertifiedÂ
WA State Boater's License
SafeSport training
Background Check
