The Fall 2020 Issue of Making Waves, the LWRC Quarterly, is available for viewing online. This issue includes several articles about the locks including a cautionary tale written by longtime LWRC member Alex Parkmen about rowing too close to the locks and a memory of rowing through the locks by LWRC and former UW rower BJ Connolly. Included is a second cautionary tale concerning heart health (it could happen to you) by long distance rower Tom Kreyche nicely balanced with an article about rowing for life by Dave McWethy. LWRC and former UW rower Howard Lee is featured in another piece as well as a tribute to Coach Frank Cunningham. A must read article about safety on the water by LWRC competitive rower and Seattle Scullers Coach Rachel Wong rounds out the issue.
